What age is a Whirly Board for?

Any age, from 1 to 99. New to balance? Hold a hand or something sturdy at first until you feel confident.

Which board should we start with?

Most families start with the Whirly Sport 360°, our original and lowest-priced board. Pick the Whirly Complete if your kid loves a new challenge: it has five setups, all the way to the Roller. The Desk Rider's wider deck suits bigger kids and teens.

Can a kid and a grown-up share one board?

Yes. The Sport 360° holds up to 350 lb and the Desk Rider up to 400 lb. The Whirly Complete holds up to 400 lb (350 lb on the green MagLock3 ball).

Where should they ride?

On carpet, a rug or a Whirly mat. Hard floors can be slippery, so give the board some grip underneath.

How long does a custom board take?

Every custom board is made to order, and we confirm the design with you before we make it. For Christmas, order as early as you can.

Exactly What I Wanted!

Fantastic board. Very well made, exactly the right size and shape, and does a great job of giving me a chance to do some at-home balance exercises without taking up all the room that the usual circular boards take up. Can't wait to terrify all my friends into thinking I've taken up skateboarding!

They say you don’t know what you had until it’s gone. I think what’s even more true is that you don’t know what you’ve been missing until you finally find it.

I purchased two custom Whirly Complete Progressive Balance Trainer & Fitness Mat Level 5 Bundles through my employer's Lifestyle Spending Account. My LSA card went straight through, making the process incredibly easy. One board stays in my home office and the other travels with me.

As a catastrophe adjuster, I need to be ready to hit the road at a moment's notice. Before this, I used a treadmill desk for years. Our family loves the Whirly Board! It lives in our living room and we all take turns on it. It's surprisingly difficult to master but its worth it!

Solid Build Quality and Great for Multi-use

Received my board promptly. It's well packaged and the board itself is of great build quality, you can tell care has been put into making it. Functionally it's a great core exerciser and really trains one's stabilizers in the feet. Could feel muscles that haven't been activated for a long time after the first day. The complete package allows me to scale up and change things up between real training and having a more stable setup for active standup desk work.

Grandma Loves Whirly Board

My mom is about 80 and we’ve been working on her mobility for a while. She can already do assisted sit-ups and is focused on strengthening her legs so she can balance better on her own.

We set up a rail next to the Whirly Board for safety and security, and I stand by as well. She uses the board 3–4 days a week and is doing great—steadily improving her balance and leg strength. The board feels more controlled than a regular wobble board, which makes it a better fit for someone her age when used with proper support.

I would recommend this for someone with an elderly parent who is already reasonably mobile. It’s not ideal for someone with very limited mobility or significant balance issues without proper support and supervision. Used carefully with a rail and someone nearby, it’s been a solid part of her routine and she’s making real progress.
